Human rights group Amnesty International has slammed Hungary's new anti-migration bill, saying it would allow the government to target any non-governmental organization working with migrants if it becomes law. Amnesty said Wednesday that the bill could suspend, disband and fine NGOs working on migration, calling it as a "deeply disturbing and unjustified assault on civil society. " The new bill, to be submitted soon to parliament, would target civic groups which organize, support or finance migration. Under the proposed measures, such groups would need permission from the interior minister for their activities.
