A Fidesz frakcióvezetője szerint Soros György minden erővel azon dolgozik, hogy a Fideszt és Magyarországot gyengítse.
A nagyobbik kormánypárt parlamenti frakcióvezetője az M1 aktuális csatorna hétfő esti műsorában azt mondta: a magyar származású milliárdos az Európai Bizottsággal is erről tárgyal. Kósa Lajos nehezen hihetőnek nevezte, hogy a Közép-európai Egyetem (CEU) ügyében találkozik a bizottság vezetője és Soros György, mivel a felsőoktatás szabályozása tagállami hatáskör, abba az uniónak nincs beleszólása. A Fidesz frakcióvezetője szerint inkább Soros György azon tervéről tanácskozhatnak, amely szerint több millió migránst kellene beengedni Európába.
Kósa Lajos kifejtette: Magyarország "csak" betartja a schengeni egyezményeket, az Európai Bizottság mégis "óriási elánnal" támadja a magyar határzárat, határvédelmi intézkedéseket. E téren dezinformációs kampány is zajlik az ország ellen, álhírekkel próbálják megtéveszteni a közvéleményt – vélekedett a kormánypárti politikus.
A Fidesz frakcióvezetője kitért arra is, hogy a "kiszivárgott információk szerint a bizottság több tagja Soros György zsebében van". Kósa Lajos közlése szerint van egy lista, amely a Soros Györgyhöz "nagyon közel álló" politikusok nevét tartalmazza, akik akár "könnyen mozgósíthatók". A Fidesz-frakció vezetője elmondta: ezen a listán szerepel mások mellett Martin Schulz, az Európai Parlament volt elnöke, német szociáldemokrata kancellárjelölt is.

1. Ki támogat itt terroristákat? Nem ismerem azt akiről írsz, de feltételezem azt érted terrorista támogatás alatt, hogy van aki rendezett, emberi körülmények közt akarja rendezni a migrációs problémát. Ismerősöm fidesz tag volt az elején, de mikor Tompikáják lejöttek vidékre és ismerősöm kritikát fogalmazott meg azonnal tudtára adták, hogy a döntést fent meghozzák és azt vegye mindenki magára kötelező érvényűnek. Ők abban hisznek hogy attól lesznek erősek, ha kiírtják a kritikát. Ezt a pár éve kilépett Illés Zoltán is megerősítette. A kritikát azért irtják ki, mert szerintük a nélkül gördülékenyebben megy a szekér és kifele is egy határozott egységes párt képét mutatják. Ha viszont megjelennének a kritikus hangok, akkor megjelennének a kétségek, hogy helyes-e amit tesznek. Ez a kétség pedig átterjed a választóikra is. Egy fideszes írta le egy fórumon, hogy a fidesz azért erős, mert összetartanak és nem kritizálják a vezetőiket bármit tegyenek is. Amúgy ez tényleg működik. De vajon az a jó polgár aki elnézi a hibákat, bűncselekményeket kedvencének csak hogy megmaradjon az egység? Ez egy egészséges államot eredményez? Tehát a kritika, önkritika hiánya erős, de nem hatékony és öntörvényű államot eredményez. A kritika pedig valóban megnehezíti a kormányzást, de lehetőséget ad a hibák kijavítására és hatékonyabb államot eredményez.
